The Mason Orphan Adoption Fund

A few resources on this website have a "Buy Now" button attached to them. I wanted you to know where the minimal proceeds I receive from this site end up, so that you can know you are making a difference in the life of a child somewhere in the world.

In 2005, my wife and I began the process of adopting an orphan child from China. Two years later, on August 1, 2007, we arrived home in the United States with Eden Hope Mason, at the time our 18-month-old daughter. Eden was among more than 2 million children who are orphaned or abandoned in China each year. She's also among a host of special needs children--in her case she was born with a cleft lip and partially cleft pallette. Her lip was repaired in China, but she will require additional surgeries through her childhood and early adolesence.

Christ adopts us into God's family. We go from nothing to having a spiritual Parent and family, an eternal inheritance, and the knowledge that nothing can separate us from His love. We too have the joy of mirroring this amazing relationship, in some small way, through our lives and family. Eden is a joyful, bright, intelligent and beautiful child. The picture below, taken a few months after we returned from China, is a testimony to the happy silliness we enjoy with her every day.

The Mason Family

Keri and I have continued to pray about how we will grow our family, and believe that God is calling us to continue adopting internationally. The means and methods of international adoption are strenuous on both our time and our pocketbook.

Proceeds from the sale of materials on this site go to our adoption savings account, and 100% of the funds received are used toward adopting an orphan child somewhere in the world. In early 2010 we began the process of adopting a child from Uganda, and prayerfully hope to complete that process by the end of 2010 or early in 2011.

The Communicorps Blog is my way of saying, "Hey, here's more content to look at that's not at this website and that I update more often." See, saying "blog" is much shorter. Go there now...
