Metamorphosis (Disciple Now Weekend)

For this Middle School Disciple Now Weekend event, student leaders were led to a central theme focused on the transformation of a person's life when they become a Christian. The teaching was built around Bible studies on the meaning of being a "new creation" in Christ.

The word "metamorphosis" was the first that came to mind for a name/theme. The logo was designed to look "scientific", suggesting a circle changing to a cube. The logo itself was animated on our website and on video to suggest the concepts of movement and change. An additional logo element was the butterfly, which also suggests metamorphosis. The bright green color scheme was unexpected, and suggested the spring, or season of change.

We adopted the catch-phrase "things change" as part of the overall Metamorphosis theme. This is a great example of prayer, teaching, leadership and visual arts all working in concert to communicate a central truth from God's Word.
