This logo was created for a church's year-long emphasis on membership (outreach). As part of the purpose-driven model, the year was filled with opportunities for church goers to encourage others to membership--not church membership, but membership in the family of God. We wanted a theme for the year that emphasized the importance of beginning a relationship with Christ, but didn't use the world "membership" as that word would create confusion for our guests.
The theme we chose was "Make the Connection." Throughout the year, we presented opportunities for people to "connect with one another and with Christ." Church members wore bracelets with the word "Connected" on it--a conversation starter which opened up doors for them share with others what being connected to Christ was all about. Revival services, neighborhood block parties and special events for youth and children highlighted a 101-day period of concentrated evangelism.
