Aligning Dreaming Planning Organizing Serving Celebrating Learning Ministry Communicorps
Link Logo

"Link" is the name of this church's Student Ministry. The original logo for Link was designed several years ago as a flat circle with two interlocking threads.

Since the original logo looked a little "corporate," we decided to punch it up by adding some intersting type and trying several treatments, including rotated and skewed logos and a 3-D version of a slightly altered design.

The final Link logos show here can be used in a variety of ways in print, online and on video.

Project specifications:
The original logo was scanned for a reference, although in the end the logo itself was completely redrawn because the original did not possess any symmetry. The redeisgned logo was done in Macromedia Freehand as a 2-D object. Moving to Adobe Illustrator, the logo was extruded into a 3-D version, both as a solid surface with some reflection and beveling, and as a wireframe. The type is a face called Matrix that was converted to a bitmap an Photoshop so some little chunks could be removed.
