Aligning Dreaming Planning Organizing Serving Celebrating Learning Ministry Communicorps
Continuing the Legacy... for a New Generation

Several years ago, this church began a three-year stewardship emphasis to fund additional buildings and land purchases. The name chosen for the emphasis was "Continuing the Legacy." All materials for the campaign were produced in-house. The design of the printed material and logo were done in a traditional style to complement the word "Legacy." The simple, conservative, clean logo reflected our overall confidence in the direction in which God had led us--the pieces did not have to "sell" the program to our members, but merely confirm it and outline the major components.

During the emphasis, the five core purposes of this church church were explored. Symbols for each purpose were created to represent membership, maturity, ministry, missions and magnification. These five "diamonds" became so recognizable that they have become the defacto symbols for these areas of ministry beyond the campaign.

In many church building campaigns there is a battle between doing media that is very professional and reflect the serious nature of the fund raising, and conserving funds used for promotion so as not to appear "extravagant." With Continuing the Legacy, we realized both high quality design and low cost by doing the entire print media portion in-house.
