Pre-Production

Refers to all elements of production that take place prior to the program, filming or videotaping. Includes concept and development, planning, setup, scripting, scheduling, set building, casting, selecting locations, rehearsals and budgeting.

The program is often made or broken based on how well pre-production is done. Good planning is a vital element in any program. Even flexibilityfor change must be properly planned into the design of a production.
