  About the "Vine" Design
I once did a series of Bible studies on John 15, "...I am the vine and you are the branches..." which was the basis for this particular design. As Jesus relates through John's gospel, the vine is the foundation, and the branches bear the fruit--but not apart from the vine. God, in this illustration, is the vine tender. Many spiritual concepts are related in this illustration--our place in Christ, the method and result of our service through Him, even spiritual discipline. This logo works well at all size applications.

  Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 584U and 582U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).

Typeface Used: Amerikratica by Fonthead Design (Click here for purchasing information). This face has random lines and pen marks that make it look as if it was written by hand and wood-pressed. The ancient feel to the typeface is really only useful for small segments of text or titles and headlines. Its unique long-tail ascenders and descenders make it stand out--and also mean it must be set apart from other type for proper spacing.
