About the "Turning" Design
The idea that life revolves around Christ is the theme behind this design. I used hand-drawn circles about a simple cross. The concentric rings are very modern and give the logo an urban feel and add motion and momentum to the design. At the same time, the circle is a centered object which suggests stability. The logo will lose some detail at small sizes, but works well overall.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 1235U and Orange 021U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Engel Light by Gestalten (Click here for purchasing information). This font is a modern squared transition face--mostly san-serif but with the suggestion of serifs at the ends of some letters. I think it works very well as a display face and as a text face. In all caps it is spacious and regal; yet, its tall x-height make it very friendly and accessible for reading.
