About the "Rescue" Design
As Christ brings us from spiritual death to life, we are literally rescued from an eternity apart from God. I wanted to convey an "ambulance" feel with this logo using the bright red against white. A simple shadow gave the cross and logo an added dimension. I think it conveys its message clearly. This logo is quite simple and works well at all point sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 186C and Cool Gray 8C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Minion Pro by Adobe (Click here for purchasing information). Another product of the wonderful OpenType format, this face is available in a wide variety of weights. A nice, round letterform and tall x-height make it very readable. In all-caps it holds its own as a tasteful display font. This is among my favorite typefaces for text.
