About the "Radiant" Design
Often I've heard the concept of a Christian "radiating" Christ outward with their lives to the people around them. I tried to capture that thought in this logo. The brighter red flair gives the logo the appearance of a firecracker exploding. The vivid red colors communicate action and urgency. This logo works well in all size applications.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 201C and Red 32C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Base Nine by Emigre (Click here for purchasing information). This cryllic design introduced in 1995 has an interesting variation in the thick san serif strokes and ultra-thin serifs on some letters. I think the font communicates a unique, modern flair, but is not necessarily friendly. All caps lettering works particularly well in Base Nine.
