About the "Process" Design
What I wanted to convey with this design is the New Testament command to "work out [our] salvation with feer and trembling". Coming to understand salvation as a process, I thought this shape was organic and yet had a revolving forward motion to it--which conveys that sense of movement and growth about the cross. The logo works well at all size applications.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 185U and 2597U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Trajan Pro by Adobe (Click here for purchasing information). In designing Trajan, Carol Twombly was influenced by the style of the chiseled writings of the Romans during the first century AD. Twombly completed the font with numerals and punctuation and added a bolder version for text which should be emphasized. Most importantly, her interpretation of an ancient style resulted in a font whose clarity and beauty come across in modern printed materials.
