About the "Offset" Design
In this design my thinking was to present the cross as an abstract form. The colorful bands define the shape, with the outer portion of each point of the cross in blue to give the design movement and suggest outward momentum or "outreach". At the same time, the rectangular container suggests stability and firmness, or "security". This design will lose some resolution at smaller sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 403U and 326U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Helvetica Neue Ultra Condensed by Linotype (Click here for purchasing information). This typeface, designed by Max Miedinger and other project members at the Haas'sche Schriftgiesserei, has become one of the most famous and popular typefaces in the world, thanks to the marketing strategy of Stempel and Linotype. It forms an integral part of many printers and operating systems. Today, this family consists of 51 different font weights.
