About the "Mountain" Design
The mountain is a great symbol of God's activity on earth. Many moments in the Bible happened on Mountains or hills. Here the logo references Christ's crucifixion on a hill. My chief concern with this logo is presenting a reference that may make it appear as if it takes climbing a mountain to get to God, which is not theologically sound. Some explanation, then, of this logo, may be required if adopted. It works well at all sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone Warm Gray 8U, 355U and 352U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Minister by Linotype and The Mix by Lucasfonts (Click here for purchasing information on Minister, and here for purchasing information for The Mix). Here's an example of a serif and san serif coming together to make a complimentary logo, and they could easily extend to the organization's text and headline needs for other media. Minister is wonderful and readable face that reminds me of Garamond, while The Mix is a versatile face that comes in a variety of weights for just about any need.
