About the "Journey" Design
I often think of the Christian faith as a life journey or an eternal journey, and this logo design uses a ship motif to suggest that idea. The woodcut style and image of a sailing vessel is both ancient and traditional, harkening back to an era where a journey was truly into the unknown. The logo will lose resolution at smaller sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 363U and 689U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Perpetua Titling by Monotype (Click here for purchasing information). Perpetua is a sensitive adaptation of a style of letter that had been popularized for monumental work in stone by Eric Gill. The incised quality of it will lend distinction to any work compatible with its serenity. Widely used as a text face in quality books, this font is also very popular in advertising and display work.
