About the "Inside" Design
A highly stylized heart is the inspiration for this logo design. The swirling motion of the logo could be seen as moving toward the heart (centering on it) or moving outward from the heart--both of these have spiritual implications when we think of the love of God as the origination point or finishing point. I chose a deep blue color with a graduated screen to convey depth. The logo works well in all size applications.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 293U and 291U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Calcite Pro by Adobe (Click here for purchasing information). Calcite is a new font by Japanese type designer Akira Kobayashi. It is highly stylized, useful really for logo applications, a few headlines, and little else. I like the tall face, which lets me squeeze more words into a space, while it is still open, with some friendly curves on the outside edges of its letterforms.
