About the "Idea" Design
This logo creates an interesting suggestion of Christ as the source of light. I like this design because it communicates on modern terms, versus using a sun or star as a light reference--so it comes of as a bit unexpected. The logo works well at all sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 1795U and 729U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Abadi Condensed by Monotype (Click here for purchasing information). Abadi Condensed Regular, introduced in 1988, offers a versatile sans serif design whose style lies somewhere between the humanist Gill Sans and the more rigidly lineal Helvetica. Subtle humanistic characteristics give Abadi Condensed Regular a friendly appeal and contribute as much to the typeface's legibility as does its generous x-height. This legibility keeps the typeface usable in smaller point sizes. Available weights, from light to extra bold, give Abadi Condensed Regular a wide range of graphic applications, from magazines, newspapers, packaging, advertising to use even with television.
