About the "Family" Design
What better way to convey a sense of family within a church fellowship than to picture one. Here, the photo is a silhouette--an interesting trick I learned that largely removes the issue of race and ethnicity from the graphic. I would not recommend this logo is extremely small size applications, as there is detail in the family graphic that may get lost.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone Green C and Warm Gray 6C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: EideticNeo by Emigre (Click here for purchasing information). I like this typeface because it is quite readable and can look both traditional and contemporary, depending on the application. The italic version has some especially nice letterforms which look elegant against the block-square capitals of the regular face.
