About the "Expression" Design
This cross-centric logo is surrounded by a faux stone block, reminiscent of an old Spanish-style mission architectural feature. I wanted to convey a sense of history with this logo--the idea that our faith has many years of experience behind it, testifying of God's great plan and purpose. The logo communicates well at all sizes, though smaller sizes may lose a bit of the earthy detail in the block shape.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 564C and 562C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Carendon by Monotype (Click here for purchasing information). The first Clarendon was introduced in 1845 by R. Besley & Co. as a general purpose bold for use in conjunction with other faces in works such as dictionaries. In some respects, Clarendon can be regarded as a refined version of the Egyptian style and as such can be used for text settings, although headline and display work is more usual.
