About the "Exclamation" Design
Throroughly modern, this logo is designed to communicate excitement. The cross is melded with an exclamation point. The brackets serve to give the overall logo a more useful rectangular shape, and to suggest containment (as, the logo is about to burst out of its container). This design works well in all sizes. I chose black and red as particularly high contrast colors to communicate motion.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone Black U and Red 032U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Univers by Linotype (Click here for purchasing information). Designed in 1957, this typeface is often confused with Helvetica. It's slightly more refined than it's more popular cousin and works well in many applications, including as a san serif text face.
