About the "Development" Design
Among several nature- and growth-themed designs I've created, this look capitalizes on the idea of a flourishing, vibrant individual. The leaves in this design are just turning green from winter's brown, suggesting youth and new beginnings. The tree is also a subtle reference to Christ and the cross. This design loses a bit of definition at small sizes. The openness of the tress itself can lend an airiness to its placement if given room to breathe.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 367C and 462C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Century Schoolbook by Adobe (Click here for purchasing information). Morris Benton researched the subjects of eyesight and legibility, then created Century Schoolbook, which was released between 1918 and 1921. Century Schoolbook is still seen in elementary school texts, and can be used for text work where legibility is a primary consideration.
