About the "Cycle" Design
Here the circular shapes are meant to suggest an ongoing cycle of involvement, maturity and service to Christ. The understated cross at center forms the foundation about which the activity revolves. One aspect of this design that I think works particularly well is the sample color scheme against a white background. I thought it looked particularly unique and professional. Also, this logo works well at small and large sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone coated color selector): Pantone 360C and 272C. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Eidetic Neo by Emigre (Click here for purchasing information). Designed in 2000, this modern text face stands very straight--the text versions and even the serifs lend themselves to a tall, unbent posture. For this reason I think the font works well to communicate stability and professionalism. It also is quite readable, and doubles well as a display typeface.
