About the "Bridge" Design
With this logo I really wanted to communicate the concept of Christ as a bridge from spiritual death to eternal life. I began with an actual illustration of a bridge, but in the end a more abstract form seemed more attractive. The arch design suggests a bridge, while the geometric layering suggests both the shape of a stained glass window, and an interwoven pattern of a relationship. The logo is versatile, working well at all sizes. The asymmetrical design also lends itself to a number of treatments of text and location with respect to the overall logotype.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 643U, 646U amd 648U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Arno Pro by Adobe (Click here for purchasing information). This is mid-twentieth-century typeface with an extended look that appears quite modern. I really like the serious yet casual look the typeface gives in all-lower-case.
