About the "Branches" Design
It was not so much the idea of the tree or "spiritual growth" that I wanted to communicate here as the thought of diversity. The various colors within the circle suggest the colors of believers around the world--we are learning, growing and serving Christ together as the church across our planet. The the logo works well at all sizes, though the diversity reference is lost in black and white.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 301U, 1945U, 131U and 341U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Baskerville by ITC (Click here for purchasing information). A great modern slab-serif, this face features graceful transitions between thick vertical strokes and thin horizontal strokes. It's a very readable face, and the roundness of its letterforms gives a pleasant appeal. A great replacement for the old Times Roman standard, in my opinion.
