About the "Arise" Design
This logo uses a sunrise theme, a reference to the resurrection, as well as creation. I used darker colors to suggest a pre-dawn timeframe--the evening just before the morning. This logo works very well in black and white as well as color. It also scales to small sizes well.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone Violet U and 2935U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Eidetic Neo by Emigre (Click here for purchasing information). I like this face because of the thickness of the letters, and the interesting treatment of the serifs on some letters--the lower case "h" especially. I think this face works exceptionally well in all-lower-case.
