About the "Abstract" Design
The concentric circles form a hollow space, suggesting openness. The layering also suggests motion. The shape also suggests a water drop hitting a pond, suggesting impact or change. Round shapes suggest stability and a complete or centered state. This logo works well with type above or to the side. It's only limitation may be the complexity, which does not reproduce well at very small sizes.
Suggested Colors and Typefaces
Color selections (spot colors based on Pantone uncoated color selector): Pantone 328U and 361U. Process color options can be explored using the available Layered Photoshop File (PSD).
Typeface Used: Dalliance family by Emigre (Click here for purchasing information). This is a script typeface that may work well for the logo, but you would likely want to supplement this with a good serif text face for general use apart from the logo.
